Trucks

Tim Mee two and a half ton truck.

Long out of production, but Tim Mee says they may do a Kickstarter to raise money for a new mold.

I got these at a hobby show.  They will serve my 60mm Pentomic Army.

Some have a trailer hitch and some do not.  The older ones don't have the hitch.

Airfix did a plastic version of the two and a half ton truck - is it also called a deuce and a half? The cabin had no base or interior detail.

Are they available in the USA?

The US Army 2 1/2 ton truck is also called a deuce and a half. It is the off road cargo capacity of the truck, on a paved road it is rated at five tons.

Airfix did a line of 1/76th scale military vehicles in soft plastic. They were sold individually and in playsets. They included a DUWK, a Centurion, a Tiger I, a 2 1/2 ton truck and many others. They were never common in the USA but they were sold here, but long out of production.

This Tim Mee truck was sold with their 54mm figures.
