The first of the tanks are already through the town and out the other side, directed by more military police.
A few simple bunkers protect the eastern approaches to the town.
If the Russians get this far they will sweep past the poor Volksstrum in these bunkers.
The military police have to be careful that the tanks don't get lost,
or strike any of the buildings.
The tanks are only moving about 5 miles per hour. Just because the mission is urgent, you can't move too quickly.
