Barge

Steel sheets on the deck of a barge. Wayne Wanner was kind enough to send me the barge and I modified by the addition of the sheets and a few other bits for the deep sea diving bell.

A bit of Tamya Gun Metal and Rustall rust makes ordinary white sheet styrene plastic into steel.

The key is having a fresh bottle of the Gun Metal and using a stick to stir it up. Stir it a long time, don't shake it, that makes bubbles. Scrape the bottom of the jar.

I painted the battleship gray with Flo-Stain Oak. It makes a dark worn oak surface. Good for a work platform.

The end result is very rustic and work, like a real workplace. It's very easy once you know how and use the right stuff.
