Giraffes and Tarzan

On the center left you can see one of the Airfix / HaT big game hunters in tan. Big game hunting generated food, ivory, leather, and adventure for people in British Africa.

This view shows Tarzan, African tribesmen, Cheeta and Jane figures. The original Tarzan books covered a time period from probably 1850 to World War Two and were written between about 1910 and the early 1940's.

Tarzan was actually a British Lord, who could speak English, French and many other languages fluently. As a Lord he had some authority in African Colonies and sometimes worked with the government.
