VP & Parade 4 & More

A nice overhead view of the parade. This small town seldom sees such activity.

On the far side of the parade route and to a lesser extent on the lower half of the photo you can see the military police lined up along the route. Constant vigilance in necessary, even in a far outpost of the West against Communist treachery.

The tentage provides some shade for the VIPs. The hot desert sun can be just like a furnace. This parade and review is being held early in the day, but even so the temperature is headed for the three figures area.

The parade is nearly over and everyone had a good time. The training and discipline of the troops was very impressive to the visitors.

In the meantime, in the vast expanse of the desert, more soldiers participate in a less pleasurable exercise.

Mike,
Where you are not looking is in the front yard. There were some anthills there, which, if you foto them well, would be ther giant ants from THEM.
