Pegasus JS-II

This is the new Pegasus 1/72nd scale styrene plastic Soviet JS-II heavy tank model. It is not a difficult kit, but does require glue to assemble.

Here is one of the two pages of instructions, the first page tells how to put the suspension together.

As you can see from the sprue the tracks are one piece and additional suspension details are added to this assembly. This makes for a rather fast and very easy assembly.

The model show here with a Preiser WWII German is a good, durable, simple kit to build, is flash free and should be a great wargame model.

The vehicle hull is nicely detailed with all the locating holes for the suspension parts. The JS-II was an important tank late in WWII and served on in various parts of the Red Army and Soviet client states for decades after the war. Many hundreds of these tanks took part in the Battle for Berlin.

I like the preplexed crew figure next to the suspension part, I have the same look when I am trying to assmble the damn tread sections.
